The exhibition stall of FISAT students at ‘Electric World Expo’, Kaloor pulled crowd due to its innovative ideas. Smart Grid project by Paulsin Polachen, Anto Varghese and Arun Jose explains how smart, electricity can be used. Through a new chip installed in the Meter and connected to a server, the consumption of the electricity in each house can be monitored. If any theft occurs in a particular area, it can also be traced.Further, there is no need to visit the house for meter reading.
