FISAT Decennial Celebrations culminated with Science Congress

The yearlong decennial celebrations of FISAT culminated with the inauguration of Science Congress by Mr. Kapil Sibal, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development. Mr. Sibal laid the foundation stone of FISAT Science & Technology Park and Research Centre which was the highlight of the celebrations.

In his inaugural address Mr. Kapil Sibal said that lack of sufficient virtual infrastructure could lead the nation failing to achieve its targeted economic growth. The Govt. is working on a scheme to connect 2,50,000 villages in the nation through optic fiber network. The last phase of this connectivity will be done through wireless broadband. This will help fisherman and farmers improve productivity with the information available online. The Govt. is on the final stage of launching Akash tablet computers for students, he added.
