FISAT Business School organized South Indian Management Meet “FORUM 2011” at FISAT campus. Mr. E. Nandakumar (Executive Director, Bharat Petroleum, Kochi) inaugurated the meet. India will be one among the three super powers of the world by 2030, he said. And our strength is the human resource. Opportunities are tremendous, but the challenges are also huge. He advised the young managers to equip themselves with knowledge, skills and attitudes to face the competitions. Mr. S Gopakumar (Kerala Operations Head, Apollo Tyres) was the Chief Guest. Mr. P V Mathew, Chairman, FISAT presided. Dr. K K Jain, Dr. K V Sundaresan, Dr. P A Mathew, Mr. E K Rajavarma and Avinash Thomas spoke on the occasion..
The two day inter Business School Meet concentrated around a "Business Plan" contest based on the theme “Innovating Tourism Business in Kerala”. Competitions based on this theme allowed budding managers to showcase the best of their managerial and leadership abilities. FORUM 11 also featured a “Corporate walk” competition based on the theme “BRIC Countries”. Around two hundred and fifty young managers from thirty five Business Schools from South India participated in the meet.
