Decennial Celebrations of FISAT inaugurated.

It was the long cherished dream of Federal Bank Officers’ Association (FBOA) to start an engineering college. Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT) was started in 2002 as a private self financing engineering college. The college established by the Federal Bank Officers’ Association Educational Society (FBOAES), an initiative of FBOA is provably the first and the only engineering college in the country initiated by a trade union. When it came to the question of where to start the college, the Society did not have to think twice. Mookkannoor - the birth place of Late K P Hormis hold an emotional bondage with each and every member of Federal Bank Family. The people of Mookkannoor came up with full support and on 1st of January 2002 Mr. K P Padmakumar then Chairman of Federal Bank, laid the foundation stone. The campus was christened Hormis Nagar to honour the revered memory of the great visionary. On 23rd Sept. Mr. P V Mathew, Chairman, FISAT Governing body initiated the spark of education by lighting the traditional lamp.
