National Award for FISAT CSI Student Branch

FISAT CSI Student branc has been selected for the National Award for Best Student Branch of the Computer Society of India for the second consecutive year. The award consisting a medallion and citation was presented in the 45th National Conference of the Society held at Taj Lands Ends Hotel, Mumbai. Mr. J C Prasad, HOD, CSE Dept received the award from Dr. P Ramamurthi, National President, CSI. Dr. S Mahalingam, Jury Chairman and TCS Executive Director and Dr. H R Vishwakarma, National Secretary, CSI were present on the occasion.

FISAT CSI Student Branch has been nominated for this award based on its glittering performance during 2009-2010. This is for the second time that FISAT has been selected for this prestigious award. Last year also FISAT won this award.

Computer Society of India is one of the pioneer technical organizations in India to advance the causes of IT education. Established in 1965, it is the largest body of IT professionals in the country. CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT Industry down the right path during it formative years. Toady, CSI has more than 40,000 members all over India.
